100 Days of Happy (Update)

With the season starting with the day job, I've not had a chance to keep up on the blog, but I -have- been keeping up on the 100 Days of Happy (:

So here's the update:

Day 28:
 Today's comes early, as I woke rested for the first time in four days with six hours of sleep. Yay! (I was worried I was at the beginning of another round of insomnia. The last one lasted 17 days.)

Day 29:

Happiness was a pot of bacon. (I have no idea how anyone else cooks those huge packages of ends and pieces, but basically making bacon stew is the only way I've figured out how to do it.) (As an aside, this also made my boys and dogs very happy.) (:
Day 30:

Snuggling my piggy (:

Day 31:

Today, my youngest and I worked on his Oklahoma "book" (aka. report) for his presentation tomorrow. Did you know Oklahoma had a couple whose house was picked up by a tornado and were safely returned to earth on the remaining floor? Or that it's the only place in the US to mine iodine? That it has the most man made lakes in the US? Was home to the Land rush? And was home to the first stationary parking meter? (:

Day 32:

 Today, happiness was getting to wear Jack Skeleton socks when I took my trip around the building on this beautiful sunny day. Our season is starting to pick up at the day job. On my way to yoga tonight, I saw a rainbow going almost straight up into the clouds, and even though more rain was forecast for this evening, we stepped out into a beautifully star bedecked night sky where my good friend Orion kept company on the drive home (:

Day 33:

Day 33 is all about appreciating the little horticultural alien sprouting up at my day job (:

Day 34:

Today is siblings day, so here are some images of mine. The only sister missing in my personal albums is the youngest, from Hawaii. I had one single picture of her at a ballet recital at about five, but my house has hidden it tonight.

Day 35:

Getting ready for Fool's War (:

Day 36:

We had a fantastic time at Fool's War!

Day 37:

Monday was having burritos for dinner

Day 38:

Tonight, it's a living room of blissful silence as two out of three (present) Wises are reading (:

Hey! That's MY name! (;

Day 39:

Wherein we enjoy the adorable burrupy rolling antics of my poorly fixed Patches Le Pew (the overly lovey spayed cat that periodically goes into heat).

Day 40:

 Today, there are three moments that stand out (: 1. This morning as I drove to work I noticed the two cars in front of me-- One was a white car called a Cobalt and the other, being driven fairly aggressively, was called a Rogue. I had to laugh at the balance of how one name fit so well and the other so poorly. 2. On the drive home from work, I saw a sign that wants voters to reelect the current coroner and I had to giggle as I envisioned a term end review of qualifications before allowing him to do so with questions like, "Did you pronounce anyone dead who wasn't?" and "Have you lost any of the bodies?" and then, 3. Just now, my oldest is playing Fable II and was charming the merchants one at a time-- to get good discounts. Bwhahahaha!

Day 41:

Today, oldest boyo is participating in a 24 hour lock in/ band rock a thon pledge drive. (:

Day 42:

Today, the boys and I are impressed with Mark's project for class! This thing is so cool!! (:

Day 43 and 44:

Yesterday was getting to spend Easter with family. Today, we celebrated my favorite holiday that comes around four times a year: Half Priced Chocolate Day! Woohoo!! (((:

Day 45:

 Last night, while laying in an extremely comfortable puddle at yoga, I had the opportunity to count my blessings, and actually did. I thought about each person/ critter/ ability/ thing that I am fortunate enough to count within my life and when it was time to open our eyes, felt truly blessed. And relaxed.

Day 46:

When I walked in this morning, I learned that today is administrator professional's day through the awesomeness that is my boss and surprise red velvet cupcakes (: I set it to the side planning to eat it for dessert afterlunch, but then when I got back from lunch, I got distracted by three of our five programs having temper tantrums and totally harshing my mellow. Before it way over stressed me, that red velvet cupcake caught the corner of my eye and my day was instantly all better again, so this cupcake was =3= instances of happy today (cause then I got to eated it!) (((:

Day 47:

Ah ha! I've spent the better part of the last two weeks trying to figure out where fb had hidden all the pages that I liked, as they near completely vanished from my news feed-- Tonight, I found them on my computer AND made it possible so I can also find them on my phone (((: It was like finding old friends (:

Day 48:

I slept so well last night! (First night in almost two weeks where I -DIDN'T- wake up off and on all night. First time in a week that I woke up rested. Thank goodness.) I realized I get exceedingly cranky when I'm not rested...but when I AM, good lord, I sing my children awake, play with my dogs and up the chipper meter WAY high. This Friday is in for a whoopass of awesome!

Today, I got to have lunch with my friend Sarah C Barnes (: It was so good to see you! Definitely have to do it again (:

Day 49:

Today, I took my oldest helper monkey with me to the SCA Ozark Archery demo. We had a great time! Afterwards, he was helping me put everything up at storage and they had the push carts. As he was pushing it into the building, he laughed and said, "I feel like I'm headed off to Hogwarts! All I need now is an owl!" (:

Day 50:

On the drive to and from the shire meeting today, I had the opportunity to introduce my oldest to what I affectionate call my 'morbid sense of humor'. This was seriously brought into play when we passed 4 dead armadillos, (one of which looked like a skeleton wearing leather shorts) and I said, "Around here, feet up in the air on the side of the road is their natural habitat." As my boyo looked at me askance, I followed it up with, "In fact, it's practically a sign of spring!" (((:

Day 51:

So last Friday, my co-worker Katie suggested I needed more stuff up on my walls. My desk is now sporting two pieces of my art...and my co-workers are starting to think I have a thing about snakes (;

Photo: #100daysofhappy  So last Friday, my co-worker Katie suggested I needed more stuff up on my walls.  My desk is now sporting two pieces of my art...and my co-workers are starting to think I have a thing about snakes (;

There has been a whole lot of laughter in the office today. Our brains are a bit foggy. Example from this morning: I called an agent to schedule delivery. He said they had "Wednesday 4/30". I said, "4:30 pm?!?" He said, "No, April 30th." I said, "OH! Thank goodness! I thought that was awful specific!" Example from this afternoon: My co-worker asked when allergy season should stop and I quipped, "November." (;

Day 52:

So clearly, (I'm totally blaming the weather) I'm on day two of ever so slightly askance. Overheard my co-worker setting up a delivery for "Stephen, (pronounced Steven) with a P." After a quick pause, I started laughing and said, "PSteven ...the p is silent, right?" At least we've had plenty of laughter on this icky weather day.

Made Hoppin' John (: The funniest part is all three of my guys came in to inspect as I got started, and asked what I was making with faces of dismay...then proceeded to devour it when it was finished. (lol) Every time. They forget they like Hoppin' John until they're eating it. EVERY time. (;

Day 53:

Today, I came home (after 3 days of not sleeping) and my children let me take a nap. Merciful, merciful sleep. Now to go to bed and try to get a bit more before the next round of storms is sure to interrupt it.

Day 54:

*Squee* So a couple of weeks ago, I came across this fantastic meme that said, "For my birthday, send me a copy of your favorite book." I =adore= this idea and shared it. And my friend Spaz, sent me an early birthday present that came in today (((: I've wanted to read this book forever!! Thank you!

Day 55:

 So my honey is done with his class for this semester and was cleaning his school work out of the car this morning. As the boys were in the kitchen making their breakfasts, my honey put his 100s in my lap. As I cheered his good grades, I could hear my youngest asking my oldest what was going on and my oldest said, "Mom's checking Dad's homework, just like she does ours." It made me giggle (:

Day 56:

I got a picture of one of my pieces that's now framed and in it's forever home (:

Photo: Look what I finally got mounted and framed!

Day 57:

I've been keeping track of my dreams in a dream journal and it's up to 76,600 words and 162 dreams. 203 dreams to go until "Last Night I Dreamed" becomes more than excerpts and snippets (:   My yards are mowed and in order (FINALLY!)  I've updated my etsy shop, adding more original artwork (and listing many of the originals with free world wide shipping).  My society6 is running free world wide shipping.  I've had a chance to update my facebook portfolio.  And I'm slightly over half way through the 100 Days of Happy Challenge and keeping up with it (:
